Substantial initial investment is required to establish a solar farm, so protecting the highly valuable solar panels and electrical equipment from theft or damage is of paramount importance.
Design of solar farms on agricultural land allows for sheep grazing in addition to the solar panels – a wire fence suitable for both marking the perimeter of the solar farm and securely containing livestock is an important consideration.
R13/192/8 is a full height one-piece barrier to aid the security on rural solar farm projects. Solid vertical wires, commonly referred to as “stiff-stay”, and spaced at 80mm add strength and rigidity to the net. The unobtrusive high pressure bonded Torus knot provides a pleasing aesthetic favoured by planners. Tornado Solar Farm Fence is manufactured with high tensile wire which strains tighter than mild steel and so requires fewer intermediate posts, making it quicker to erect. The spring like properties of a high tensile wire help the netting stay tight, keeping maintenance to a minimum.
