The RL8/90/22 has 22cm spacing between the vertical stay wires, this increased spacing, over standard 15cm livestock net, helps prevent sheep getting their heads stuck in the fence. RL8/90/22 stock fence features the unobtrusive high pressure bonded Torus knot which does not have any sharp edges.
Tornado Torus netting features a solid vertical wire commonly referred to as “stiff-stay” and in accordance with the latest Countryside Stewardship Grant (FG2) £7.47 p/m can be claimed, it also enables posts to be spaced up to 6m.
RL8/90/22 is slightly taller than standard stock fencing and is manufactured with lightweight high tensile wire, which strains tighter than mild steel and so requires fewer intermediate posts, making it quicker to erect. The spring like properties of a high tensile wire help the netting stay tight, keeping maintenance to a minimum.
